Paris is one of the world’s most amazing cities. You know what it’s like; it’s elegant, classy, quirky, and chic. Know anywhere else like that? Portsmouth! Okay, it may not be the culture-capital of the world (yet), but it’s certainly got enough cool to fuel a train.
As one of the most photographed cities in the world, there are jillions and zillions of pictures of Paris knocking around. You must have seen dozens of shots of vibrant streets, inspiring landmarks, romantic locations and dramatic cityscapes. We think it’s Portsmouth’s turn to steal the limelight, and we think you’re the one for the job!
Noir et Blanc has teamed up with Gunwharf Quays and Café Rouge to bring you another super-exciting opportunity to strut your creative stuff. What we want to see are lots of photographs of Portsmouth looking its dynamic best. We want to see places looking striking, people looking grand and things looking elegant! And of course, it’s got to be in black-and-white.
The competition will be judged by world famous art photographer, Jan Williams (of The Caravan Gallery), conceptual artist, Jon Adams and the Manager of Gunwharf Quays, John Sacket. All entries will be exhibited in Cafe Rouge, Gunwharf Quays in January.
GRAND PRIZE: An exhibition of work of your choice.
Send all entries to the address below by December 15, 2009 as jpegs no bigger than 5MB. Please tell us your name and age, where you live and which Group you’re entering.
